Welcome to Exeter Cathedral School

A very warm welcome to our website.  We hope that it will give you a real flavour of our very special school situated within the Cathedral Close in the heart of the city.  Exeter Cathedral School is a thriving community providing a broad and balanced education for nearly two hundred boys and girls from rising 3 to 13.  The School is the direct descendant of the Song Schools that have been educating choristers here for nearly one thousand years.  Now, while music plays a significant part in the life of the School and only one fifth are choristers, there is so much more to offer all children, the musical and the not so musical who have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of exciting, stimulating and rewarding activities.

As the Cathedral School, we seek to be a loving Christian family in which children of whatever background and faith may grow happily in understanding, knowledge and confidence, under-pinned by the positive values which shape our school.
