“My greatest achievement was getting a distinction for 10 stars in a week. I worked hard for it but I was shocked!”   Year 3 pupil

All pupils are expected to progress from the Pre-Prep into the Prep School at the start of Year 3. We are also very pleased to welcome additional pupils to this year group, subject to place availability.

Year 3 pupils are still based at Hall House and are taught every morning by their Form Teacher, however they are also taught by subject specialists for Geography, Religious Studies, French, Art, Music, PE and Games. Daily life is therefore an exciting and busy mix of the academic, practical, creative and physical.

Children in Year 3 will have their first experience of representing the School in inter-school sports fixtures in Hockey, Netball and Rounders for the girls and Rugby, Football, Hockey and Cricket for the boys.

The length of the school day increases (an 8.40 am start and 3.45 pm finish) and there is a change to the school uniform to signify entry to the Prep School.

The Form Teacher role is key and all parents have regular opportunities to discuss their child’s progress.
